After have wholesale shopping fun in Guangzhou, let’s pack your luggage and get ready to go to Hongkong. Sleep at Guangzhou and go to Hongkong in the morning, Guangzhou hotels is cheaper than Hongkong hotels.
First use MRT, Bus or taxi to go to Guangzhou east railways station, looking for Hongkong ticket counter and you can buy Hongkong one way train ticket about 150RMB. Get off the train in Hung Hom station, Hongkong.
You can buy or checked Hongkong ticket one or two days before, If you can’t buy Hongkong ticket because all of ticket is sold out, just buy Shenzhen ticket as your destination. Ticket price is around 70RMB-75RMB and I think its better if you don’t buy it on the spot. Buy the ticket one or two days before in the travel agent, because we can’t buy Shenzhen ticket in railways station. Although there is some ticket machine you can buy Shenzhen ticket on the spot at railways station, but I tried before use my pasport and its not working. So, it would be better buy the ticket one or two days before in travel agent.
If you have double entry or multiple entry china visa and you have plan go back to Guangzhou on that day, don’t forget to buy your Shenzhen-Guangzhou ticket too. For return train ticket, don’t buy on the spot, because maybe all of ticket will sold out in the night and you can’t back to Guangzhou on the same day. If you juts have single entry China visa, you can’t go back to China. You don’t need to aplly Hongkong Visa in your country, because for Indonesia is use VOA (Visa On Arrival).
Get of the train in Louhu,Shenzhen station, and just following the Hongkong sign board. Around 10 minute (based on how crowded the peoples), Voila!! Welcome to Hongkong!
There is some many changer around Hongkong Imigration office, you can exchange your RMB, USD or Macao Dollar. You must buy Octopus card as transportation card, first empty card fee is 100HKD.
Hongkong peoples mostly speak in cantonese and english, some peoples speak in Chinese too.

If you miss your train in the night to go back to Guangzhou, Don’t panic!!! there is some car will take you back to Guangzhou. One person is around 80RMB-100RMB depend on how you do bargain. Or you can just wait in Shenzhen railways station until morning and take the first train. There is some motels and hotels around station, or if you still have energy just go to Karaoke until morning!!! Good Luck!
